The London Finance Team is responsible for group financial operations including the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. As an Accounts Payable Manager you will be critical to managing key stakeholder relationships by being the first point of contact with suppliers and business partnering with internal departments. You will contribute by driving process change to ensure our systems and processes are always best-in-class.
Your Opportunity
- Responsible for managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable process for all legal entities across the UK, US, Canada and Spain
- Assisting a team of 3 Accounts Payable Specialists with daily queries, payment runs and ad hoc requests
- Influencing AP processes across the wider Group
- Ensuring the purchase ledger is closed off in line with the month-end timetable deadlines
- Monthly review of aged creditors and ensuring debit and aged credit balances are followed up and cleared
- Review of Business Payment Practices and Performance reporting in line with government guidelines and work towards improving supplier payments KPIs
- Assisting the Senior Finance Operations Manager in the implementation of streamlined financial processes across the group, including the rollout of a PO system
- Ensuring timely delivery of ad hoc and urgent requests
Why you're made for this
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with a minimum of 2 years of management experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Finance, preferable
- A proactive attitude and a desire to continuously improve working practices
- A proven self-starter with the ability to work independently and use own initiative, managing own workload
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact well on all levels
- Ability to prioritise work effectively, enabling the delivery of high-quality work at a pace
- Excellent spreadsheet skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables, Sum If, etc.) and the ability to build reports from scratch
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Netsuite preferred but not essential
This role is available as remote, hybrid or in-office. We have a great office space in Spitalfields in London but are equally happy if you'd prefer to work from home, some or all of the time.
