Your Team
You will be part of the Metaverse Solutions group, the premier organisation for servicing and solving the problems of our metaverse. You will be working alongside experienced game developers familiar with all aspects of the game development lifecycle, including production, art, design, technology and operations. You will be working with notable names from the industry who are our partners and customers. As this is a growing area of Improbable, you will be directly involved in shaping both the technical and commercial direction of how metaverse experiences are developed and launched.

Areas of Impact:

  • Being focused on driving the art team forward as a single unit, while interfacing smoothly with all of the other departments. 
  • Own the creation of the artistic vision for the product.
  • Own the entire process of creating art within the product.
  • Expected to give and organise consistent and constructive critique on the quality of the Art within the game.
  • Own the development of the art leads and their direct reports.
  • Drive the team to create consistent, high quality art in industry standard timelines.

We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following:

  • Previously experienced in this role at a AAA developer.
  • Successful history of interaction with other development disciplines (e.g. art interactions with design, technology, production).
  • Experienced with managing senior and junior developers across multiple art disciplines (e.g. concept artists, modelers, animators, etc.).
  • Expert in defining a visual style for a game that stretches across all art disciplines (how characters look and move, the environment, the tech art details, etc.).
  • Experienced with operating outsource pipelines, including feedback loops and cost-saving time/content management.
  • Expert in setting up art departments, processes, and disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills with inspirational drive.
  • Excellent understanding of game art creation pipelines across multiple art disciplines.
  • Excellent in self-managing workloads through Jira or another tracking methodology.
  • Skilled with managing team milestones and guiding a team through the process of shipping multiple games.
  • Excellent skills in one or more common art packages, including: Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop, Unreal Engine (UE4)
