Designer, Defence

London | Defence

Join our defence and national security business and you’ll be helping users plan and train to meet the most complex security threats in the world. Working alongside experts in AI and Machine Learning, computational modelling and distributed systems, you’ll be putting multiplayer technology to life-saving use.

Our mission is to enable the most realistic and sophisticated military simulations ever experienced, decreasing the cost of preparedness and improving effectiveness on operations.

Building on the foundations of SpatialOS, we combine scientific modelling, advanced AI and data analytics with a flexible and secure deployment model, creating a powerful simulation platform tailored to the needs of the defence community.

We work across NATO and with a wide range of industry partners to develop synthetic environments that will transform military training, planning and decision support.

At Improbable, you are surrounded by people who want to improve everything and everyone around them, and who compel you to improve yourself. We’re motivated by the fulfilment of solving hard problems to achieve something profound and transformative.

Your Mission

We are responsible for the look and feel of visual content across the Defence division. We do this to ensure that the business can clearly and professionally communicate with our audiences.

We develop and produce content – in partnership with various teams (such as the Commercial, Product, and Central-Marketing teams – that clearly communicates our technologies, projects, and products. We work closely with the Commercial team – for the business to be successful, our customers need to understand the value of what they are buying. We make this possible.

We are a small team that provides a huge opportunity for impact across the business – this role will be key in how we present ourselves to customers.

We deliver primarily in digital formats, but also touch print and event environments, with the key challenge of grappling with the complexities of our technology and finding ways to translate them into intuitive and compelling content which speaks to our audiences.
