Your mission will be to help us scale the Defence unit of Improbable, by identifying and sourcing exceptional candidates in software engineering and leveraging your candidate management skills to make their Improbable experience a truly unique one
We're a growing team of recruiters (8 scaling to 10+ over the coming months) that are dedicated to supporting our stakeholder groups building balanced and high performing teams. You'll be focused across head hunting, stakeholder management and strategic project work.

Areas for Impact

  • Partner with the business to drive the end to end recruitment lifecycle to ensure timely delivery, refining and streamlining the hiring process where possible
  • Work closely with your stakeholder groups to drive process improvements, workforce planning and talent planning
  • Proactively source UK based technical talent
  • Compose and execute creative sourcing strategies against prioritised Sprints to develop high quality talent pipelines with a meaningful emphasis on diversity
  • Evangelise Improbable culture and value proposition, representing this passionately to develop alignment towards our mission
  • Maintain exceptional standards and data integrity across tools and systems
  • Breakdown, participate in and champion major projects and initiatives to improve talent acquisition at Improbable
  • Help mentor, support and develop junior talent partners

We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following:

  • Multiple years experience sourcing and hiring impressive talent in an in-house environment
  • Able to think strategically and creatively to develop effective, relevant and broad sourcing strategies to satisfy difficult to fill roles.
  • Practised in the fundamentals of talent acquisition; creative, curious and innovative when considering modern frameworks and tactics to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Technical recruitment experience highly desirable but not essential (if you’re a generalist recruiter or a commercial recruiter who wants to turn their hand to technical, we can support)
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to work with urgency and to drive to realistic deadlines.
  • Operationally astute and data-oriented
  • Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, motivated and passionate
  • Highly resilient, relentless and cheerful in the face of adversity

Role Location
We are based in central London and are open to both hybrid work (1-2 days a week in the office) or fully remote.
