Meet our graduates

Jessica Falk

Jessica Falk

“Everyone is open to helping you learn and grow. From the outset, I was able to take on different tasks and gain responsibility by designing new features. Having the opportunity and support to move outside of my comfort zone in this way helped me grow as an engineer.”

Paul Balaji

Paul Balaji

“I joined without any prior gamedev experience and appreciated being tasked with something experimental during my internship. Returning as a graduate, the rotations helped me discover more about myself and identify the area of focus I wanted to apply myself to.”

We have a simple four-step process for all applications to the graduate or intern programmes at Improbable:

  1. An online technical assessment.
  2. A screening interview with a member of our talent team.
  3. An onsite interview including a practical coding exercise, system design exercise and a behavioural interview.
  4. A final fit interview with an executive team member.

Our engineering organisation is split into three main streams, covering games, platform engineering and defence. The core competencies that we are looking for include:

  • Games: C++, C#, Go
  • Platform engineering: Go, C#, Typescript, React, K8s, and all major cloud providers
  • Defence: C++, Java, Python, Typescript, React, Golang
Our intern and graduate roles are based at our new headquarters in Liverpool Street, London, UK. Our office is located above Old Spitalfields Market, reflecting our neat amalgam of the cultures of the City and of Shoreditch.
